I know I sound mental but bare with me. Even I cannot believe I am actually saying this.
I think I have a ghost. Random stuff has been happening around the flat- TV switching on and off and changing channel whilst we're watching it, the oven switching off at the wall, things falling out of closed cupboards. Just random stuff. The curtains often flutter when it's around, even if the window is closed and there's no breeze. The other day I was looking at booking something online and my diary clattered out of my bag so I know what day it wants me to go at least!
About five minutes ago I made a cup of tea and left it on the kitchen counter. I'd opened the cupboard five or six times and nothing was hanging over the edge, then the last time I opened it a jar of mustard shot out and flew straight into the cup of tea, breaking the mug but leaving the side facing me intact and the mug upright. I didn't get scalded but it gave me a shock.
I never even believed in ghosts before but I guess I'm getting a little spooked right now. I don't think anything wants to harm me and until today I was quite enjoying having a ghost around. It's been going on a few weeks. But now I'm a little worried. Switching things on and off is fine but breaking stuff is another matter!

Human.. I am ready for my walk.

Hi,
Did you know that the military is still discharging soldiers who are gay and want to serve their country?
One of these soldiers is California's Lt. Dan Choi -- an Iraq War veteran and Arabic linguist. Lt. Choi is fighting the discharge and fighting the discriminatory "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. And he needs your help as soon as possible.
Lt. Choi goes on trial on Tuesday. I just signed a letter of support via the Courage Campaign for Lt. Choi, which he will bring with him to his trial. With just a few hours left before Lt. Choi's trial, more than 150,000 people have also signed on to his letter.
It's important that Lt. Choi walks into the courtroom holding as many signatures of support as possible for his fight to continue serving his country, no matter who he loves.
Will you join me in signing and urge your friends to do the same before Tuesday's trial?:

Thanks!

See? Ders bibul abowt kittehs. We is gods.

If so get your credit card out now and treat yourself to a ticket of Jude Law in "HAMLET". Yes. You read this right.

( Read more... )
If you happen to be in New York during that time I can only highly recommend this to you. He's brilliant as Hamlet and I enjoyed the show as a whole (cast, production etc.) very, very much.

very well, you can take the evening off.

I can take no credit for this, it comes from
isiscolo by way of
celtprincess13. This is how it works:
1. If you are as annoyed as I am by people who don't cut-tag their LoudTwitter posts, stick this into your Customize Journal Style/Custom CSS/Custom stylesheet textbox:
.loudtwitter {
display: none!important
}
Voila, no more tweets!
And I'm in heaven.... ever since.
In other news: there's some rain and thunder... so I'm back indoors. *sigh* Still warm, though.

I spent all day shredding those curtains. Why you keep fixing them?

current song: Michael Buble - You'll Never Know.mp3
( + )
